Knoll, Riesling Smaragd Schutt, 2022

I had a bottle of the 2008 vintage the other day and all I'll say is... wow!

I think this might be one of my favorite wines I've had all year. Knoll is an incredible estate and Schütt is a beautiful vineyard. If you're looking for a gift for a wine lover or you yourself want to try something truly special, I can't recommend this enough.

Wachau rieslings are different than German or more specifically Mosel rieslings (which I love as well), they are more structured and with more fruit characteristics. This is bone dry and has racy acidity with balancing fruit and structure.

Open it now or even in ten years, it's going to be amazing!
